About The Position

The residential programs are modeled off a home setting serving clients whose needs are complex and range in intensity. This role involves providing behavioral and mental health support, implementing treatment plans, and facilitating community inclusion and skill acquisition. The position requires the ability to manage crises effectively and provide personal/medical care.

Requirements

  • Three to four years of experience in a human services or combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skill has been acquired
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Routine lifting
  • Valid driver's license, and use of a personal vehicle
  • Ability to work either Saturday or Sunday
  • Experience with de escalation techniques
  • Committed to trauma-informed approach
  • Person centered

Responsibilities

  • Initiate constructive activities that address goals on a client's Individual Support Agreement (treatment plan)
  • Implement the support and crisis plans (utilizing Therapeutic Options training), in collaboration with the greater treatment team.
  • Facilitate community inclusion, daily living, and skill acquisition
  • Utilization of sound judgement and maintenance of clam demeanor during crisis
  • Provide needed behavioral and/or mental health support
  • Provide needed personal and/or medical care
