About The Position

Create a safe and supportive home environment for adults with mental health issues at Lakeview, a long-term recovery-based Howard Center group home for 16 adults with mental health challenges. Many residents and team members have lived or worked at Lakeview for decades. The role provides therapeutic support and helps residents develop independent living, coping, and symptom-management skills.

Requirements

Experience working with individuals experiencing major mental illness and substance abuse issues.
Ability to handle crisis situations, work in a team environment, and maintain respectful relationships.
Valid driver's license and transportation.

Responsibilities

Maintain a stable, therapeutic environment.
Implement treatment plans.
Teach independent living skills.
Provide supportive counseling, medication management, and crisis intervention.
Help residents strengthen coping and symptom-management skills.
Maintain house safety by monitoring who is coming and going.
