About The Position

As a Registered Nurse at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements and state and specialty standards of practice. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while supporting the organization’s mission and values and helping achieve positive clinical outcomes and an outstanding patient experience.

Nurses are encouraged to influence patient care through collaborative relationships with managers, professional practice and advisory councils, surveys, and national nursing initiatives.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Associate degree, Registered Nurse diploma, or bachelor's degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on admission and during each scheduled shift, identifying and promptly reporting changes in their condition.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, and document care accurately and promptly in the medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and respond appropriately to unintended medication effects.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate patient needs, and address them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology to ensure understanding.
• Collaborate with medical providers and the care team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.
