About The Position

Experienced professional with full understanding of area of specialization delivering a diverse scope of support and expertise in all key elements of the project management function in designated business unit. Responsible for providing comprehensive planning, execution, and management to a broad range of medium scaled programs and projects of moderate to high complexity to support Fresenius Medical Care business goals and strategies. Provides expertise to Clinical and Administrative staff to achieve successful operational and business performance improvement. Outlines program requirements, dependencies, risks, and resources to comprehensively address all components needed for a successful implementation. Manages and provides support on multiple programs, facilitating activities of cross-functional teams to ensure that predetermined specifications, timelines, and objectives are met. Leads the application and continuous improvement of project and program management for all initiatives. Provides appropriate project management processes, methods, techniques, and tools and can elaborate and implement these according to the project’s requirements. Effectively implements change management processes, supports process owner and operation staff, and delivers communication to all relevant stakeholders. Influences tactical thinking and drives change that ensures best practices and industry insights are adopted and implemented. Provides resolution to an assortment of problems that are typically not well defined, thus judgment is required to clarify the problem and determine action.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • PMP-PMI Required.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience managing programs and projects within the healthcare industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced project and time management skills with the ability to manage and deliver multiple projects concurrently, set and keep up with evolving priorities, and complete work within establish timeframes in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-volume environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and aligning appropriate functional and technical skills and resources necessary to meet strategic goals and business objectives, within prescribed timelines and budget parameters.
  • Strategic and creative problem solving and conflict management skills with the ability to identify and make critical decisions and recommendations on urgent, challenging issues and problems in a timely manner.
  • Strong, polished interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and cultivate positive partnerships, communicate with all levels of peers and management in a respectful and tactful manner to enhance efficiency, satisfaction of staff and corporate support, and lead internal work streams.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries.
  • Experience in the use of PPPM software tools.
  • Demonstrated ability in the development of change management strategies and interventions.
  • Experience in the use of design thinking methods and tools.
  • Experience in managing programs with truncated timelines.
  • Ability to interact with senior management on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.
  • Ability to manage cross functional program and project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships and leverage existing stakeholder relationships within organizations.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with leadership, initiates programs by clearly defining program objective, scope, stakeholders, and benefits associated with major business changes and initiatives.
  • Conducts detailed planning by creating program structure and plan and securing cross functional support and buy-in.
  • Develops and owns program plans and ensures key milestones are identified and communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Creates risk mitigation plans and consistently assesses the programs for emerging program risks or concerns.
  • Performs contingency planning and risk management analyses developing alternative plans and laying the necessary groundwork for efficient implementation of contingency plans.
  • Meets with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
  • Implements and manages changes and interventions to ensure program goals and project goals within the program are achieved.
  • Clearly and concisely presents and communicates key data to colleagues and other stakeholders in a timely and consistent manner throughout its life cycle.
  • Tracks and monitors progress and escalates business risks where appropriate.

  • Interface with activities related to developing the current and future state process and performance utilizing data analysis for assessing root causes, issues with process, stakeholder support needed, and gap identification.
  • Identifies appropriate metrics to assess baseline, demonstrate impact of the initial scoping and valuation of improvement work, and to monitor progress toward improvement goals.
  • Constructs proof of concepts that produce meaningful data and results for interpretation, which can be leverage for future project phasing.
  • Interfaces with activities related to developing the current and future state process and performance utilizing data analysis for assessing root causes, issues with process, stakeholder support needed, and gap identification.
  • Participates in regular check-in meetings and toll-gate review to ensure progress and alignment of stakeholders, goals, scope, solutions, and timelines.
  • Supports the implementation of specific change management tactics including planning, identification of risks, coordination with stakeholders, and overcoming obstacles to change.
  • Identifies the impact technical changes will have across the business unit and business segments and periodically consults with project leadership needed alignment and/or interventions.
  • Partners with other disciplines within the team in the development of the project strategies and solution implementation.
  • Assists with curriculum development and training, participates and conducts workshops on the concepts of project management including PMI methodologies, benefits realization, risk assessment and stakeholder engagement.
  • Trains the workforce on the principles, methods, and tools of project management to promote a learning environment and development of a strong community of practice.
