The Acute Care Technician III (ACT III) Float Pool position at TriHealth Clinton Regional Hospital provides assistance and/or performs basic activities of daily living and specified treatments and procedures under the direct supervision of a nurse. This role may also perform non-direct patient care activities as assigned. The ACT III is responsible for orienting new PCAs, coordinating PCA annual competency-based education (CBEs), assisting in PCA recruitment, retention, and scheduling activities, coordinating recurring PCA tasks (e.g., stocking, equipment checks, unit-based equipment disinfecting, etc.), and leading PCA team meetings. They provide peer feedback, monitor PCA documentation, and actively engage in department shared decision-making and process improvement activities. This role also conducts audits (such as hourly rounding), performs peer interviewing, and orients new PCA/UC and PCA's. Membership on at least one unit committee, attendance at required unit-based meetings, and up-to-date education requirements are also expected.
