About The Position

Join a highly respected team of Acute Care Surgeons supporting a busy Level I Trauma Center in Macon, Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity for a PA or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to work alongside experienced surgeons and advanced practice providers in a fast-paced inpatient environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside highly respected acute care surgeons within a Level I Trauma Center. Providers enjoy meaningful clinical work, strong physician collaboration, and the ability to make a direct impact on patient outcomes in a dynamic surgical environment. This position is based at Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center and supports inpatient General Surgery and Trauma Surgery services. The facility is recognized for delivering high-quality acute and trauma care while fostering a collaborative environment for providers and staff.

Requirements

• Certified as a PA or Nurse Practitioner with acute care certification
• Be eligible for or possess Georgia licensure
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment
• Have excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Possess a passion for trauma and acute care surgery

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care for General Surgery and Trauma Surgery patients
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care
• Participate in daily rounding and multidisciplinary care discussions
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
• Manage patient admissions, consults, and follow-up care as appropriate
• Ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care and documentation
