About The Position

Northside Hospital’s Fall 2026 Acute Care RN Residency Program is for a Registered Professional Nurse who independently plans and provides professional nursing care in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies. Nursing practice reflects collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree.
• Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Provide care within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Manage patient care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies.
• Reflect collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment in nursing practice.
