Requirements

Appropriate degree as a Registered Nurse.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Idaho.
Current BLS required.
Working knowledge of nursing, healthcare safety, state and federal regulations, and regulatory processes.
Good communication skills, both written and oral, in the English language.
Ability to manage, support, and work cooperatively with individuals and committees.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or twist.
Continuously performs difficult manipulative skills.
Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
Frequently required to move/push up to 35 pounds, occasionally able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
Occasionally required to operate foot controls and lifts.
Must comply with HIPAA to protect information that is sensitive, proprietary, or confidential.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as situations require to maintain infection control standards set by the facility.

Nice To Haves

ACLS preferred.
1-2 years of experience in acute care nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure the well-being of our acute care patients.
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing practices and approaches based on the needs of each patient.
Make or recommend necessary judgments with a patient’s individual needs in mind.
Establish patient care goals and measure health outcomes against these goals and standards.
Teach patients, family, and friends to understand the patients’ conditions and necessary medication and self-care skills.
Supervise and collaborate with other members of the nursing care team to ensure that each patient’s needs are met.
Document patient care.
Adhere to medication administration and storage procedures, controlled substance regulations, and infection control policies.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
