About The Position
An Acute Care Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions. This position requires a skilled professional who can adapt to fast-paced environments and deliver effective patient monitoring and treatment.
Requirements
- Current nursing license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience in acute care settings is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and symptoms
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and necessary care
- Document patient care and progress in accordance with established policies
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist with life-saving procedures
