About The Position

This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays an integral role in delivering high-quality patient care across the inpatient, operative, and ambulatory settings. As a valued member of the surgical care team, the APP contributes to exceptional patient outcomes through comprehensive clinical management, collaboration, and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Participating in daily inpatient rounds and multidisciplinary care coordination.
• Assisting surgeons in the operating room across a variety of surgical procedures.
• Managing postoperative and trauma follow-up care in the outpatient clinic setting.
• Facilitating discharge planning and ensuring seamless transitions of care.
• Serving as a key liaison among patients, families, consulting providers, and ancillary departments to support optimal communication and patient experience.
• Provides medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow-up as directed.
• Assists physician with procedures and serves as a liaison between the physician and the patient.
• Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
