About The Position

The premier Oklahoma Heart Institute (OHI), home to one of the nation’s most recognized and comprehensive cardiac programs, is seeking a highly skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its advanced Cardiovascular (CV) ICU team in Tulsa, OK on a PRN basis. This is an inpatient-only position with 12-hour shifts. The role involves working within a 24-bed Cardiovascular ICU in OHI’s 104-bed referral facility. The team includes 2-3 APPs during the day and 1-2 at night, with a physician present during the day and on call at night. Providers will use Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation and reduce administrative burden. The position emphasizes a collegial environment where intensivists, surgeons, ER, Anesthesia, and pulmonary teams collaborate for high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Cardiovascular or ICU experience
• ACNP or PA certification

Responsibilities

• Perform and become proficient in dialysis catheter insertion
• Perform and become proficient in central venous line placement
• Perform and become proficient in pulmonary artery (PA) catheter placement
