About The Position
Growing commercial P&C insurer is seeking a pricing-focused Actuary to join its actuarial team. This role will lead pricing analyses, support complex account underwriting decisions, monitor portfolio performance, and help drive data-driven business strategy.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of actuarial pricing experience
- Commercial P&C insurance background preferred
- 5+ actuarial exams completed; ACAS/FCAS preferred
- Strong SQL skills
- Python, R, or VBA a plus
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain pricing models to support underwriting decisions
- Analyze portfolio performance, profitability, and emerging trends
- Provide pricing support for large and complex commercial accounts
- Partner with underwriters and business leaders to deliver actionable insights
- Build and automate data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical tools
- Research market trends, cost drivers, and pricing opportunities
- Mentor junior analysts and review technical work
- Lead actuarial and cross-functional projects as needed
