Position Summary Join a dynamic, high-performing actuarial team supporting CVS Health and Aetna’s government services pharmacy business. This role is primarily responsible for modeling pharmacy network contracting arrangements for Aetna’s Medicare Part D business and providing actuarial support to key business partners. The colleague will: Support development and maintenance of models and processes to assess network contracting strategies and performance against expectations. Work with business partners (including those in the PBM and Enterprise Pricing) to understand the details of network contracting strategies and convert these details into financial projections/modeling. Support development of pharmacy network assumptions for Aetna’s Medicare Part D bids and forecasts. Partner with the teams maintaining Part D pricing and forecasting models to ensure alignment on the best approach to modeling network terms/assumptions. Effectively balance and manage competing priorities. Act as a subject matter expert on assigned projects and concepts. Leverage technical skills and critical thinking to design and achieve business solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree along with 3+ years related experience
  • Prior healthcare experience required
  • ASA or near-ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python a plus, working with large and detailed data sets is required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid technical/analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment with competing priorities and deadlines
