We are adding an Actuarial Intern to our team! This is a hybrid position requiring to be In-Office 10 days per month. Work Environment: NGL offers a flexible work environment where employees can work fully remote, hybrid or onsite at our Madison, Wis. office. We support virtual working arrangements in certain states outside of WI. A Day in the Life: The Actuarial Intern is a student intern under the NGL Internship Program that supports the corporate actuarial team while building professional skills. This position assists the team with projects and providing accurate and beneficial information to leadership to better manage the financials of the company.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on and complete projects in a team oriented environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with NGL employees
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Minimum: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Required: Successfully passed at least one actuarial exam

Responsibilities

  • Assist actuarial teams with projects.
  • Run or modify actuarial software system such as ARCVAL or Prophet.
  • Maintain or build spreadsheets.
  • Perform experience studies, make recommendations, and present work to actuaries at different levels of the organization.
  • Interact with the Product Development and Pricing team
