About The Position

As an Actuarial Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a financial services company. You'll collaborate with professionals in areas like Enterprise Risk Management, Product Management, or Corporate Actuarial Financial Reporting, contributing to real projects that impact the business.

Requirements

Pursuing a major in actuarial science or a related financial/mathematical field.
Completed at least one SOA exam.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
Ability to take initiative, work independently, meet deadlines, and interact professionally with colleagues.

Nice To Haves

Experience with programming languages like VBA, Python, or R.
Prior work experience, including internships or co-ops, is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct data manipulation, organization, and analysis to support critical decision-making.
Run actuarial models, analyze outputs for accuracy, and ensure consistency.
Verify factors used in computations, document processes, and help automate reports and spreadsheets.
Create and refine calculation tools to support pricing and valuation efforts.
Develop rate filings, in-force files, and experience study results or assist in determining premiums, benefits, and pricing levels.
Build analytical, technical, leadership, and communication skills while gaining business and industry knowledge.
