About The Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the actuarial and risk management functions for International business, with a focus on month-end valuation reporting. Other duties/workstreams include but are not limited to: mortality studies, in-force data updates, and actuarial modelling. The role involves working closely with the business and other functional partners on strategic projects and tactical actions, and assisting these areas in achieving their goals. The associate will also support ad-hoc work in areas such as model changes, new business reporting, or asset liability modelling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) majoring in Actuarial Science. Other relevant Majors (e.g. Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics) are acceptable if accompanied with demonstrated knowledge of Actuarial concepts.
  • ASA with 6 or more actuarial exams is required.
  • Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience within the life insurance industry, preferably in valuation reporting or related functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be an innovative thinker and understand the "big picture" and able to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Strong working experience with GGY AXIS and MS Excel.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Working experience with R and Tableau.
