About The Position

Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company (GTL) is seeking an Actuarial Assistant to join their team. The position involves gaining experience with various actuarial tools and contributing to projects such as product development, pricing, and analysis. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
1-5 years of relevant actuarial experience
Proven exam success and working towards ASA designation
Experience working with complex spreadsheets and large databases
Proficient with Excel
Ability to effectively communicate with non-actuarial staff
Initiative, desire to take on new challenges and responsibilities
Intellectual curiosity, desire to learn and grow professionally
High level of organization, able to balance multiple priorities
Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAS or SQL
Programming experience
Experience with actuarial modeling software

Responsibilities

Support new product development work including pricing analysis and projections, competitive analysis, and sensitivity testing
Help with rate filings
Conduct ongoing experience studies
Develop new and improve existing experience studies & methodologies
Work with internal stakeholders to react to changes in product experience
Identify opportunities to improve processes
