Job Summary: Independence American Insurance Company (IAIC) is seeking an Actuarial Analyst who will analyze and evaluate the likelihood of future events to reduce and manage future financial risks. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Accounting, Computer Information Systems, other quantitative field, or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
  • 2 years’ relevant experience
  • Must have passed Two+ Actuarial Exams

Responsibilities

  • Completes and interprets actuarial analysis, valuations, cost estimates, and modeling using mathematics, statistical programming, and financial theory.
  • Assists with the completion of rate filing documents for all states.
  • Researches rate filings, as needed.
  • Maintains and updates existing models, tools, and other files used for analysis.
  • May prepare reserving, forecasting, rate filings, pricing analysis, and experience reports for review.
  • Completes ad hoc reporting, as necessary.
  • Completes appropriate database work, as necessary.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
