About The Position

As an Actuarial Analyst, you will join the Reinsurance department to participate in various projects related to life reinsurance within corporate actuarial science, as well as cross-functional projects within the vice-presidency. In this role, you will participate in different quantitative analyses necessary for decision-making in your sector, particularly those concerning ceded risk experience or monitoring of risks retained by Beneva, as well as monitoring financial agreements or projects related to various initiatives linked to reinsurance solutions. Additionally, you will be involved in relations with reinsurers for premium payments, benefits, and reports necessary for treaty administration. You may also contribute to mandates related to the production of financial statements or work related to the quantification of Beneva's risks and solvency, as well as projects for the conversion or improvement of tools used by the Vice-Presidency, all in a hybrid mode.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science
  • Proficiency in the French language, both oral and written, as well as functional proficiency in the English language, both oral and written, due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with colleagues, partners, clients, or English-speaking suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.
  • Interest in understanding individual or group insurance businesses transversally, including pricing, risk selection, clauses, and administration of insured contracts, as well as benefit payment processes.
  • Aptitude for programming and understanding of databases.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in analyses to determine Beneva's capacity to assume insurance risk for each product insured and advise management.
  • Participate in the preparation of reinsurance tenders according to defined parameters.
  • Participate in the analysis of submitted proposals and advise management on the choice of reinsurer(s).
  • Participate in the analysis of reinsurance treaties or amendments, ensuring parameters comply with the submission or discussions leading to the amendment.
  • Collaborate with the team on the entire process of reinsurance premium payments, their supporting reports, and the submission and follow-up of reinsured claims.
  • Collaborate with the Actuarial Performance, Data, and Solutions department for the improvement and development of IT tools in line with expressed needs analysis.
  • Participate in work on insured volumes by business sector to prepare reinsurance tenders and annual treaty renewals.
  • Monitor reinsurance experience with relevant bodies.
  • Participate in the production of the actuary's report.
  • Participate in liability valuation work and experience analyses.
  • Participate in work and analyses periodically or occasionally required by senior management or supervisory authorities.
