You’ll have the opportunity to play a significant role in ensuring the company’s objectives for profitability are achieved and collaborate with people from various teams from Blue Cross organizations across Canada. You’ll need strong analytical skills and a love for data/analytics. This is a 16-month term opportunity with the potential to become permanent, subject to business needs. We offer flexibility to work remotely within Canada, or through a hybrid or in‑office arrangement based out of our Moncton or Quebec offices.

Requirements

  • University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or another closely related field
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Experience building, documenting, and maintaining business process models
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues within complex data sets
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative project team
  • English is requirement, written and verbal, to provide services to our customers and communicate with internal stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Progress toward ASA and/or ACIA designation considered an asset
  • Knowledge of group insurance products considered an asset
  • Bilingualism (EN/FR) is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Complete quarterly reporting to analyze and monitor the profitability of group insurance products
  • Identify and implement enhancements to reporting processes to support our efficiency initiatives
  • Create and/or populate actuarial models to price various group life products and revisions
  • Provide support to the underwriting team for large/complex quotes
  • Communicate with reinsurance partners regarding quotations and technical pricing models and evaluate/review reinsurance treaties
  • Support the implementation and testing of new products or product changes in quotation tools and administrative systems
  • Adapt current business processes and tools to test and accommodate the roll-out of new IT systems and data sources
