You’ll have the opportunity to play a significant role in ensuring the company’s objectives for profitability are achieved and collaborate with people from various teams from Blue Cross organizations across Canada. You’ll need strong analytical skills and a love for data/analytics. This is a 16-month term opportunity with the potential to become permanent, subject to business needs. We offer flexibility to work remotely within Canada, or through a hybrid or in‑office arrangement based out of our Moncton or Quebec offices.

Requirements

University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or another closely related field
Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
Demonstrated interest and experience in process improvement and automation initiatives
Experience building, documenting, and maintaining business process models
Strong problem‑solving skills with proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues within complex data sets
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative project team
English is requirement, written and verbal, to provide services to our customers and communicate with internal stakeholders

Nice To Haves

Progress toward ASA and/or ACIA designation considered an asset
Knowledge of group insurance products considered an asset
Bilingualism (EN/FR) is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Complete quarterly reporting to analyze and monitor the profitability of group insurance products
Identify and implement enhancements to reporting processes to support our efficiency initiatives
Create and/or populate actuarial models to price various group life products and revisions
Provide support to the underwriting team for large/complex quotes
Communicate with reinsurance partners regarding quotations and technical pricing models and evaluate/review reinsurance treaties
Support the implementation and testing of new products or product changes in quotation tools and administrative systems
Adapt current business processes and tools to test and accommodate the roll-out of new IT systems and data sources
