About The Position

Havarti Risk is a growing health care actuarial services and software company that is committed to providing strategic and actuarial solutions to health innovators, health plans, and providers. We are led by a team of experienced actuaries and a senior leadership team knowledgeable in all aspects of the health actuarial landscape. Havarti Risk is looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join the team. This position is a entry-level analyst position that requires candidates to have between 1-2 years of experience in a Healthcare analyst role. This role will support Consulting business unit of Havarti. The role will involve actuarial and data analysis, project management, and internal and external stakeholder communication. The position offers significant development opportunities for a professional looking grow in the health insurance industry, learn from highly experienced leaders, work with innovative healthcare start-ups and accelerate their career. The ideal fit would be an individual who is a fast learner, analytical, strategic, detail-oriented, flexible, and resourceful.

Requirements

• 4-year college degree
• Passed at least two Society of Actuaries exam
• 1-2 years in a Healthcare experience
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry
• Knowledge of actuarial principles and processes
• Proficiency in the use of excel and statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willing to travel occasionally as necessary
• Flexibility and adaptability to excel in a fast-changing environment

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, cleansing, and analyzing client data to extract required information
• Building financial / Return on Investment (ROI) models
• Developing presentations and reports
• Supporting project management to ensure quality client outcomes are delivered timely and within budget
