Requirements
- 0–2 years of actuarial experience through school, internships, or early career
- Progress toward ASA or FSA designation
- Strong problem-solving instincts and a passion for learning
- Commitment to Athena’s mission and values
- Comfort working independently in a remote-first environment
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Medicaid, healthcare, or other public health programs
- Familiarity with programming tools like SAS, SQL, or MacroVB
Responsibilities
- Analyze healthcare data, financial statements, and other work products to inform recommendations
- Build and maintain Excel models and actuarial tools
- Contribute to client reports and strategic planning
- Ask thoughtful questions and help shape solutions for complex healthcare challenges
