About The Position

The Actuarial Analyst I is responsible for assisting in the determination of rates. Analyzes, develops and validates statistical data. This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. Candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.

Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of one Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exam; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Responsibilities

Under limited supervision, applies the appropriate actuarial analytical tools to the data and performs preliminary actuarial and statistical analysis.
Updates actuarial pricing, valuation and forecasting models as directed.
Refines and collects appropriate data for actuarial analysis and ensures its reasonableness and accuracy by coordination within the division.
Completes Actuarial Experience Reports that includes, but not limited to data collection, Category of Service logic, leveraging IBNR models, and reconciling to the general ledger.
Provides additional support for Audits by explaining models, data and providing supporting detail.
