About The Position

Kids Science Labs (KSL) is seeking energetic and passionate individuals to join their Birthday Team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional and fun hands-on science birthday party experiences for children aged 4-12. The ideal candidate will be able to engage groups of young children and parents, laugh, and believe in KSL's mission. This is a part-time role requiring weekend availability, making it suitable for college students, education majors, and entertainers. The job is dynamic and offers opportunities for personal and professional growth, unlike a mundane hourly position. Birthday parties are 90-minute events where team members lead children in science mixing experiments. The birthday team consists of 3-4 individuals who collaborate to ensure a memorable customer experience and flawless execution of the party plan. This role can serve as a stepping stone for those aspiring to become teachers at Kids Science Labs.

Requirements

• Open availability on Saturday and Sunday.
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in childcare (babysitting), theater, education, or retail.
• Ability to demonstrate the ability to engage a child.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional birthday party experience to kids and their families on the weekend.
• Guide kids in their discovery of slime, chemical reactions, and other fun hands-on science experiences.
• Engage groups of young kids and parents.
• Collaborate with a team of 3-4 individuals to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Execute the party plan flawlessly.
• Be genuine.
• Successfully manage the dynamic environment of a birthday party.
• Be responsible and reliable as a teammate.
• Communicate well both verbally and via electronic communication.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service.
