About The Position

Performs clerical duties and assists with school extra-curricular activities and transportation functions. This role supports the Activity/Transportation Director in managing the department's programs, records, and events, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to school and state policies. The position requires maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to the school's mission.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months related experience and/or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General working knowledge/experience with computers and other office equipment.
  • Basic clerical skills required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Superlative interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain materials of a highly confidential nature.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the general public.
  • Ability to deal effectively with questions or problems, seeking assistance when needed.
  • Excellent computer skills to include establishing and entering information into Microsoft Word, spreadsheets, and/or database.
  • Respects the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ in private, personal, and public life.
  • Commitment to the mission of the Roman Catholic Church in Native American education.
  • Sensitivity to, and appreciation of Native American people and their cultures.
  • Ability to teach moral and spiritual values to youth.
  • Ability to serve as an appropriate role model for students.
  • Valid Montana driver’s license.
  • Must be able to become First Aid & CPR certified (after hired).
  • Must be able to become OPI Driving School Certified (after hired).
  • Must obtain MHSA Certifications (as needed, after hired).

Responsibilities

  • Assists Activity/Transportation Director and may represent them in their absence.
  • Keeps current and permanent records of all activity/transportation department information.
  • Composes, or transcribes from rough draft, correspondence, bulletins, memorandums, and other material.
  • Compiles and files other school reports and records as necessary.
  • Greets visitors, determines nature of business, and directs visitors to destination.
  • Answers telephone to provide information, takes messages, or transfers calls.
  • Distributes mail to coaches, staff, and A/T Director.
  • Maintains a schedule of meetings and appointments for the A/T Director.
  • Performs clerical duties including word processing, filing, and running errands.
  • Maintains calendar of school events.
  • Maintains a high standard of professionalism (dress and conduct).
  • Conforms to the policies of the school, school rules, and prescribed programs.
  • Exercises diligence in the care of school property.
  • Helps prepare check requests for the activities/transportation department.
  • Assists in securing workers and planning for all activities/transportation events.
  • Monitors coaches’ compliance with 1st Aid, CPR, and clock hour certification requirements.
  • Creates, distributes, and updates all athletic/transportation schedules, programs, and rosters.
  • Assists in preparing for each activity season parent meeting and end of school year assembly/banquet.

  • Hourly pay rate range: $16.24-$19.09-$21.93
