About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Activity Technician to join their team at Potosi Correctional Center in Mineral Point, Missouri. The Activity Technician will operate under the direction of professional mental health staff and utilize recreational, social, and vocational activities to achieve treatment objectives. This role focuses on fostering skill-building and problem-solving to support psychological stabilization for patients within a correctional setting. The position is full-time, day shift, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences required
- Two (2) years of experience in therapeutic recreation or related field providing activities programming for persons who have a serious mental illness required
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
Nice To Haves
- Training, experience, or certification as an aide, medical technician, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or activities technician preferred
- Experience working in a correctional mental health setting preferred

Benefits
- Pay rates from $19/hr. to $22/hr. depending on years of experience!
