About The Position

Providing unique and enriching vacation experiences for guests through activity delivery and glamping quality. This role involves executing, supervising, and guiding a variety of activities, assisting guests with scheduling, and acting as a knowledge expert for the property and local attractions. The Activity Specialist also assists with glamping site housekeeping tasks and models the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18+
  • Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
  • Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record , including height/weight guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Outdoor recreation experience
  • Complete USA archery level 1 instructor or BSA archery rangemaster (training provided)

Responsibilities

  • Execute, supervise, and provide guidance to a variety of activities offered, not limited to: Archery, throwing activities, aerial activities, and fishing appropriate for ages 6+
  • Facilitate short tours of property while driving company van
  • Assist guests with activity scheduling and creating a seamless experience
  • Knowledge experts for on-site hiking trails, local adventures, and attractive family destinations
  • Assists the glamping site in housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and lodging
  • Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
  • Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
  • Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
