About The Position
Our 20-bed inpatient hospital specializing in geriatric psychiatric care is looking for a dedicated Activity/Recreational Therapist to join our team. Located next to NHC HealthCare Maryland Heights, our facility serves patients with cognitive and mental health needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy, Exercise Science, or related field
- Valid driver’s license
- 1+ year of recreation therapy experience in a psychiatric setting
Nice To Haves
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
Responsibilities
- Lead group and individual therapeutic activities
- Observe and document patient behavior and condition
- Complete assessments and documentation per policy
- Support a safe, structured environment for patients
