About The Position
The Activity Leader will help lead assigned activities within designated programs. Have complete knowledge of emergency procedures to ensure the safety of children. Accept and demonstrate the YMCA Core Values while maintaining a cooperative, professional attitude with participants, parents, and staff. Provide a quality program environment that considers each child’s needs and supports the YMCA’s goals and objectives. Treat children with dignity and respect and engage with them positively.
Requirements
- Age requirement, 18 years of age.
- High school diploma, or its equivalent required.
- Must have experience in conflict resolution with children and adults.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, demonstrate, and lead activities.
- Assist with planning and implementing the daily program.
- Provide consistent communication to parents and participants as needed.
- Attend all required staff meetings and training programs.
- Perform other duties/assignments as needed at the YMCA.
