About The Position

As the Activity Director, you will play an important role in enhancing the quality of life of our residents by developing meaningful, engaging, and person-centered activities that support their social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual well-being. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in activities, recreation, life enrichment, healthcare, senior living, long-term care, or a related field preferred.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of activity programming for older adults and individuals with varying physical and cognitive abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive activities and life enrichment program based on resident interests, abilities, needs, and preferences.
Develop and maintain a monthly activity calendar that provides a variety of meaningful individual, small-group, and large-group activities.
Provide programming that supports residents' social, emotional, physical, cognitive, recreational, and spiritual well-being.
Complete activity assessments and contribute to individualized resident care plans in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Participate in resident care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings as appropriate.
Provide individualized activities and one-on-one visits for residents who are unable or prefer not to participate in group programming.
Plan and coordinate special events, holiday celebrations, outings, entertainment, community events, and other resident-centered programming.
Supervise, schedule, train, and provide direction to Activity Assistants and other activity department staff.
Delegate responsibilities and ensure activity staff complete assigned duties and programming expectations.
Recruit, coordinate, and maintain relationships with volunteers, community organizations, schools, churches, entertainers, and other community partners.
Monitor resident engagement and adjust programming based on participation, resident feedback, changing needs, and interests.
Coordinate resident outings and assist with transportation arrangements when applicable.
