About The Position

Juniper Communities is seeking a full-time, salary exempt Activity Director for their Brookline SNF location. This role offers the opportunity to be paid on-demand through DailyPay. The Activity Director will supervise Connections Associates and other Associates involved in activities, potentially serving as the Community Life Team Leader. This role involves liaising with the Leadership Team and providing guidance and training to Resident Associates on Connections implementation. The Activity Director may also be required to serve as Manager on Duty.

Requirements

Certification as Therapeutic Recreational Specialist, Activity Director Certification, or Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
Previous management experience in healthcare or service-related setting.
Computer literate.
Must have a valid State Drivers License with appropriate CDL class.
Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.

Nice To Haves

A High School Diploma, a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or another related field is preferred.
Experience in program design, planning and implementation is desired.

Responsibilities

Ensures resident safety at all times.
Embraces Culture Change and resident-centered philosophies.
Ensure compliance with documentation and record keeping to meet current regulatory compliance standards.
Completion of interest and participation assessments on admission and quarterly thereafter.
Prepare and update a Connections Plan for each resident within 7 days of admission and quarterly thereafter.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Connections program of the community.
