About The Position

St. Agnes Home, a senior living community sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus, is seeking a compassionate, creative, and energetic Activities Director to lead and grow its resident activities program. The Activities Director will develop, coordinate, and oversee engaging programs designed to enhance the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being of residents across all levels of care. The community is located in Kirkwood at the corner of Woodlawn and Manchester Road and is committed to providing a "Home Away From Home" where residents are cared for with dignity, compassion, and Christian values.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Knowledge of state and federal regulations for long-term care activities programs
Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for enriching the lives of seniors
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Must successfully pass the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) criminal background check.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to provide applicable documentation(s) for I-9 in order to establish identity and authorization to work in the US.
Must have valid driver’s license, personal automobile liability insurance, and acceptable driving record (if required to drive).

Nice To Haves

Activities Certification preferred
Two years of long-term care activities experience preferred

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and lead a comprehensive activities program for residents of all care levels
Develop monthly activity calendars and special events
Coordinate entertainment, outings, religious services, volunteers, and community involvement
Provide meaningful programming for both active and room-bound residents
Supervise Activities staff and volunteers
Manage departmental supplies, budgets, and resources
Partner with other departments to create memorable resident experiences
Foster a warm, compassionate, Catholic atmosphere for residents and families
