About The Position

The Activity Coordinator ensures the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center meets participant needs. The Activity Coordinator performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically work on routine and patterned assignments. You will report to the Center Administrator. The Activity Coordinator schedules the Wellness Center meeting rooms and fitness rooms for pre-programmed classes, activities and/or events. Plans, promotes and coordinates programs to provide members with a variety fitness activity. Responsible for greeting patients, verifying insurance coverage and eligibility, reviewing new patient registration, and entering new patient information into the computer system at an outpatient care site. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience in an administrative setting
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience in patient-facing roles, especially those involving structured or planned activities (such as event planning).
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to follow general direction.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Shows a strong commitment to enhancing the consumer experience and supporting organizational goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; or, in lieu of a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of healthcare administration and/or leadership experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Population Health Strategy.
  • Familiarity with Medicare.
  • Experience managing a budget of $500,000 or more.
