About The Position

At Ability Matters, we are a cause above the job. We build inclusive, meaningful, community-based experiences for individuals with autism and other neurological disabilities. As an Activity Coordinator, you won’t just run events. You’ll create meaningful experiences, build confidence, independence, and social connections. This is hands-on, creative, community-based work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Able to plan engaging experiences and think outside the box, clear verbal and written communication skills, take initiative, follow through, and stay organized
  • Passion for Inclusion: A genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead activities and community outings that bring structure, fun, and purpose.
  • Monitor what works, adjust activities to match interests and needs.
  • Plan inclusive outings and group experiences that encourage peer interaction and true community participation.
  • Align activities with service goals. Promote physical activity, creativity, communication, and social development.
  • Develop monthly activity calendars, Coordinate logistics like transportation and supplies.
  • Provide 20 to 25 hours of direct support weekly while building strong, positive relationships.
