About The Position

Under general supervision, provide socialization, and developmental activity programs to clients/participants. Provide specialized assistance according to individualized treatment care plan and specific needs of the client/participant.

Requirements

Combination of education and experience normally represented by a Bachelor's Degree in recreational therapy or related field and one to three years related professional
Must have competent oral, written and interpersonal communication
Must be able to form good working and therapeutic
Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds required, depending on program/clients
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat and reach above
Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background

Responsibilities

Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of
Participate in case management to determine goals and objectives for
Plan and develop recreational activities, which may be therapeutic, that will assist participants according to their care plans.
Implement and evaluate recreational activities, which may be therapeutic, in order to meet the goals and objectives of individual care
Supervise at least one employee and several volunteers; includes staffing, reviews,
Prepare and complete all required files, reports, and related paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
Attend meetings (staff & client) as
Review care plans and progress of cases with supervisor for continued support, advice, and approval.
Plan special events, which include clients and their families, caretakers, and members of the community, such as celebrations, trips, etc.
Maintain accurate inventory and recommend expenditures for program supplies and
