About The Position
Juniper Communities is seeking an Activity Associate to assist in the creation, planning, and implementation of the Connections program, which provides daily activities for residents. The goal is to ensure the maximum levels of resident leisure contentment, as well as physical, mental, and psychological well-being. This role is available as a full-time position, requiring every other weekend. A clean driving record and the ability to drive the community bus are necessary. A part-time position is also available, requiring every other weekend.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid state driver's license (Required)
- Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
Nice To Haves
- Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or other related field (Preferred)
- Previous experience in healthcare or service related setting (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Entering resident information in multiple systems
- Collecting resident profiles and assisting the activity department with other help as needed
- Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of the Connections activity program for the community.
