About The Position

Tel Hai is a nonprofit retirement community in Honey Brook, PA and a Certified "Great Place to Work!" This is a wonderful opportunity for an Activity Assistant to join the Meadows Health Care Center team in meeting the social and recreational needs of the residents. This is a full-time position working 64 hours/2 weeks including every other weekend and holiday. Off Mondays and Wednesdays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to speak/lead activities of large groups.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a geriatric setting is preferred.
• Previous experience with individuals that have cognitive deficits (such as Alzheimer's) is preferred.
• Music, art, fitness, educational, or activity experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops activities and plans & implements a daily schedule of programs and activities for residents.
• Conducts one on one visits and small group activities.
• Assists residents to and from meals and activities.
• Provides nourishment and hydration to residents.
• Assists at mealtime with feeding residents.
