About The Position

The Groves Senior Living is seeking a passionate Memory Care Activity Assistant to create meaningful and engaging experiences for individuals living with dementia. This full-time role involves leading structured activities, coordinating with care staff to enhance the dining experience, and assisting the Life Enrichment Director with planning and supply management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating structured, engaging, and interactive experiences, strong communication skills, and a compassionate heart.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals living with dementia (Memory Care experience preferred, but related experience will be considered)
• Passion for creating structured, engaging, and interactive experiences
• Ability to lead group activities and encourage resident participation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with care staff and families
• A compassionate heart and a joyful spirit

Responsibilities

• Lead structured activities in Memory Care, following a daily routine that fosters engagement and well-being
• Coordinate with care staff to ensure activities run smoothly and residents are encouraged to participate
• Lead daily structured activities, ensuring residents have engaging opportunities beyond standard daytime and evening programs
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with calendar planning and supply management
• Coordinate with care staff to enhance the dining experience, ensuring it is interactive and engaging
• Lead evening and weekend activities to maintain a vibrant atmosphere
