About The Position

The Activities Associate leads recreational and social activities that bring residents together, foster community, and improve their quality of life. The role involves organizing and facilitating inclusive activities suited to residents’ cognitive and physical abilities, encouraging participation, and preparing activity spaces and materials. Activities may include arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, and social gatherings. The assistant documents resident participation and activity outcomes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
• 0–1 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead activities, events, and entertainment that promote residents’ socialization, creativity, and physical well-being.
• Communicate upcoming activities and encourage residents to participate.
• Assess residents’ cognitive and physical abilities to tailor activities and ensure appropriate, inclusive participation.
• Set up and organize activity spaces and prepare equipment and supplies.
• Facilitate individual and group activities, including arts and crafts, games, music sessions, exercise routines, and social gatherings.
• Document resident participation and activity outcomes.
