About The Position

Juniper Communities is seeking an Activity Assistant for their Hamilton location. This is a part-time position, working Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 7 pm. The role involves assisting in the creation, planning, and implementation of the Connections program, which are the daily activities for residents. The goal is to ensure the maximum levels of resident leisure contentment, as well as physical, mental, and psychological well-being.

Requirements

  • Fitness background
  • Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma, a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or other related field
  • Previous experience in healthcare or service-related setting

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of the Connections activity program for the community.
  • Works closely with Wellness Associates for the implementation of Connections activity programs.
