About The Position

Caretel Inns St. Joseph is part of the Symphony Care Network, which operates skilled nursing, rehabilitation centers, and assisted living facilities across Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. The company emphasizes investing in its employees and fostering a team environment where individuals can make a difference. This role is within the assisted living units, and memory care experience is beneficial but not required as training is provided. The primary focus is to assist residents with activities that promote social communication, entertainment, exercise, and relaxation.

Requirements

Ability to care for various levels of acuity patients.
Promote and facilitate teamwork.
Demonstrate a high standard of ethics and excellent customer service.
Show dependability which includes weekend and holiday availability.
Provide physical/essential functions test or fit for duty physical upon hire.
Have prior employer / personal references.
Submit to a criminal/fingerprint background check that provides eligibility per LARA.

Nice To Haves

Memory care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities to provide social communication, entertainment, exercise, and relaxation.
Lead group and individual resident activities.
Complete required record keeping per facility policy.
Sort and deliver residents mail & newspaper.
