About The Position

Allegro Parkland is seeking a warm, creative Activity Assistant (Lifestyle Assistant) to lead life enrichment programming in our Ensemble Care Memory Care neighborhood. This is a role for someone who understands that for residents living with Alzheimer's and dementia, a meaningful moment isn't just nice to have — it's everything. The primary responsibility of the Lifestyle Assistant Ensemble Care is to assist the Program Director Ensemble Care in providing a full-time social and activity program in the neighborhood(s) for all residents and families. Encourages resident socialization, improving daily living skills, expanding personal interests, increasing physical activity and education. Making every effort to maintain and expand the lifestyle of all the residents.

Requirements

A genuine passion for Memory Care and deep respect for resident dignity
Valid driver's license and clean driving record — required
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or 21 to drive the company bus.
Must possess a valid driver’s license or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for the state where the vehicle is operated.
Must possess high energy/enthusiasm, decision making, problem solving, planning/organization, and rapport building skills.
Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
Must have an acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) record; the record must be checked annually.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Alzheimer's, dementia, activities, caregiving, or senior living — preferred but not required
Creative, patient, and calm under pressure
Dependable and consistent — residents and families count on you
No certifications required — the right heart matters most
Minimum one (1) year of related experience at an independent living, assisted living, or senior nursing facility preferred.
Appropriate CDL license preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and lead engaging, person-centered activities designed for residents living with Alzheimer's and dementia
Create meaningful daily moments — music, reminiscence, sensory experiences, crafts, movement, and more
Build genuine relationships with residents, honoring their individual stories and abilities
Transport residents on community outings safely and responsibly
Be the consistent, caring presence that makes Saturday, Sunday, and Monday the best days of the week for our residents
Assist the Program Director Ensemble Care in conducting and coordinating scheduled activities seven days a week for all the residents in the neighborhood(s).
Assist in preparing the monthly Lifestyle calendar, posting the calendar, and distributing it to all residents.
Facilitate and support monthly resident council meetings and other meetings as directed by the Program Director Ensemble Care.
Assist the Program Director Ensemble Care in contacting appropriate community groups and volunteers to perform specific activities and to assist in the Lifestyle programs.
Assist in scheduling transportation for residents.
Be prepared to drive the property vehicles on an as needed basis.
Assessing residents’ social and lifestyle activity preferences.
