About The Position

Activity Aide 10:00 AM–6:00 PM We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team at our skilled nursing facility. The Activity Aide assists in planning and implementing engaging recreational and therapeutic activities that enhance residents’ quality of life and promote social interaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a nursing home or activities program preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with elderly and/or disabled populations
• Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a nursing home or activities program preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and leading daily activities such as games, arts & crafts, music, and group programs
• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one engagement
• Transport residents safely to and from activities
• Set up and clean up activity spaces and materials
• Document attendance and participation
• Report any changes in residents’ mood, behavior, or condition to nursing staff
• Assist with special events, holidays, and outings
