About The Position

Auburn Village has an Immediate Opening for a FULL-time Activity Aide at our facility in Auburn, Indiana. Must be 18 years or older and have 1-2 years of experience as an Activity Aide in a healthcare setting. Now offering $13.00 per hour, up to hours a week, Day shift - must be flexible with schedule and rotate weekends and holidays with other Activity Aides. You'll work closely with the Activity Director and other Activity Staff member to design, prepare and implement a vibrant calendar that promotes physical, mental and social well-being. Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Activity Aide in a healthcare setting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Driver's License
  • Operate phones, computers
  • Must have compassion, tolerance, and understanding of older adults
  • Strong communication skills and lots of patience
  • Must pass a complete background check, including fingerprinting if necessary

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing and leading the activity programs in the facility
  • Set up and tear down equipment for daily activity programs
  • Track participants in daily activity attendance and note changes in mood or health
  • Visit bed residents daily on a one-to-one basis
  • Deliver mail and newspapers to residents
  • Participate in planning community events related to the facility
  • Complete monthly calendar of events in each wing
