About The Position
Centennial Peaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic, PRN, Board Certified Activities Therapist (Art, Recreation, Music, or Dance/Movement) to positively impact the lives of patients. Centennial Peaks Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for over 30 years, offering unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults in a peaceful setting. The hospital provides inpatient services, Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient, and Partial Hospitalization Programs. This role is crucial for addressing the behavioral health needs of adult patients struggling with mental health concerns. The Activities Therapist is an integral part of the inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team, providing expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities to inpatient psychiatric units. This is a PRN position, with availability required on weekdays and occasional weekends.
Requirements
- MUST be registered as a Recreation (CTRS), Music (MT-BC), Dance/Movement (R-DMT) or Art Therapist (ATR)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Specialty Therapy Required.
- One year experience in working with a mental health population preferred.
- Recreation-MUST have or be eligible for CTRS
- Music-MUST have or be eligible for MT-BC
- Dance/Movement or Expressive Arts-MUST have or be eligible for R-DMT or REAT
