In this role, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising a variety of fun and engaging activities for our guests and residents while leading our Activities team to deliver exceptional experiences throughout the year.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to negotiate pricing and contracts on behalf of the resort.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with guests, residents, vendors, and fellow team members.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet applications.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop Activities team members while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate, attend, and supervise a variety of resort activities and special events, including picnics, sporting events, dances, dinners, holiday celebrations, and more.
  • Create seasonal activity calendars that provide engaging experiences while staying within budget expectations.
  • Prepare and manage monthly and annual department budgets.
  • Maintain balance sheets for activities and events.
  • Review, approve, document, and submit invoices for payment.
  • Maintain activity and office supply inventories.
  • Prepare and distribute the weekly resort newsletter for guests and residents.
  • Answer guest and resident questions regarding activities and events.
  • Prepare end-of-month reports and other reports as requested by resort leadership.
  • Promote and market events both within the resort and throughout the local community to maximize participation.
  • Prepare food for smaller events and coordinate with caterers for larger functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
