About The Position

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking an Activities Specialist to join our Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP). The Activities Specialist is responsible for planning, enacting, monitoring, and improving the therapeutic recreational activities delivered to the youth served within the Buckeye Ranch Residential Treatment program. This position will arrange, lead groups, promote engagement, and maintain schedule of structured activities throughout the calendar year. This position will be required to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the youth we serve with age-appropriate programs and activities focused on social-emotional development, copy skills, and trauma informed environment while maintaining a safe structured program. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field.
  • Two years of juvenile mental health working experience.
  • Active driver’s license.
  • Proof of auto insurance.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, enacting, monitoring, and improving therapeutic recreational activities for youth in a residential treatment program.
  • Arranging and leading groups.
  • Promoting engagement in structured activities.
  • Maintaining a schedule of structured activities throughout the calendar year.
