About The Position

Southall is a premier destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way. The Activities Operations Coordinator will facilitate the guest-tailored outdoor programming around Southall property. Programs include Aerial Adventure Course, Guided Hikes, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Archery, Axe Throwing, Fishing, Canoeing, and more. Southall Staff aim to provide a 5-star level experience in all aspects of their interactions with guests.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience supervising and supporting staff
• 2 years of experience teaching or facilitating experiential programs
• Previous hospitality and customer service experience
• A deep appreciation for nature and serving others
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in hospitality, recreation, business management or other relevant fields
• CPR/AED & First Aid certification within 30 days of starting employment
• Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs
• Available to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays
• Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods as needed and able to work in all weather conditions
• This position spends the majority of the day outdoors and moving throughout the property

Responsibilities

• Provides a safe, welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff
• Train and develop Southall programs and staff
• Leads Service Harmonies participation and execution
• Provides backup support for new program development (focus-specific initiatives)
• Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies for all activities
• Oversees ropes training and certifications, ensuring safety compliance and operational readiness
• Operational support of Program Guides in facilitation of programming and transporting of guest
• Coordinate Team Quest programming
• Oversee opening and/or closing duties
• Facilitation of Southall programming with an emphasis on safety, education, and unique experiences
• Leads staff activities coordination
• Assist with communication and scheduling of user groups and guests
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by Southall Leadership
