About The Position

The Activities Supervisor is responsible for maintaining daily operations in the Activities department, including training and supervising staff, creating, coordinating, scheduling, and facilitating all activities/events, and providing excellent guest service. The position also oversees the Cabana 8 retail space.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for regular interaction with guests and team members.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong knowledge of local community, area, and region.
Strong problem resolution skills.
Ability to lead and motivate team members.
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory/management experience.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn property-specific programs.

Nice To Haves

Recreation or Hospitality degree
1 year minimum Recreation experience

Responsibilities

Creating, scheduling, and facilitating activities, including booking entertainment.
Working with Marketing to update the Resort Guide and website weekly.
Ensuring daily operating procedures are followed by team members.
Coordinating and ordering supplies, booking entertainment, and assisting with retail inventory.
Providing fun, creative, and memory-making events for guests and owners.
Maintaining a positive work environment to facilitate excellent service.
Overseeing Cabana 8, including merchandising, supervision of staff, and cleanliness of the store.
Ensuring proper cash/check handling procedures are followed and daily reports are completed.
Assisting management in producing the annual budget and monitoring the budget monthly for accurate performance.
Performing other tasks/duties as assigned.
