About The Position

Juniper Communities is seeking a full-time, salary exempt Activities Director. This role requires Memory Care experience and offers DailyPay, allowing employees to be paid on-demand. The Activities Director supervises Connections Associates and other Associates participating in Connections activities, liaises with the Leadership Team, and provides guidance to Resident Associates regarding Connections implementation. Requirements

Memory Care experience
Previous management experience in healthcare or service-related setting.
Computer literate.
Must have a valid State Drivers License with appropriate CDL class.
Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
Certification as Professional is required.

Nice To Haves

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Music Therapist (MT-BC), or other Creative and Expressive Art Therapy professional encouraged to apply.
A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or another related field is preferred.
Experience in program design, planning and implementation is desired.

Responsibilities

Ensures resident safety at all times.
Embraces Culture Change and resident-centered philosophies.
Ensure compliance with documentation and record keeping to meet current regulatory compliance standards.
Completion of interest and participation assessments on admission and quarterly thereafter.
Prepare and update a Connections Plan for each resident within 7 days of admission and quarterly thereafter.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Connections program of the community.
